![]() ![]() Using the pedals is a like a different world to the controller. It took me a few days to realise that once I had it fully down there was still a bit of travel in it – I just needed to apply more pressure. The brake pedal can take quite a bit of force too. Initially, mine had a bit of a creak when pressed hard but this seems to have disappeared after a few weeks of use. The brake is quite stiff and has much smaller travel than the throttle. The throttle has a lot of travel and is nice and smooth – it needs a bit of effort to move it but not enough that it’s hard work. When you spin – and I span a lot to start with – the wheel spins so fiercely I had to take my hands off the wheel! The Logitech G29 pedals When you do steer, the feedback pushes back against you, especially when the car is under or over steering. The sensitivity is sufficient out of the box to be a massive improvement over a controller and it’s a lot easier to place the car where you want it, keep it there, and steer in a smooth movement. I played with them a bit but have them set to the defaults at the moment. Once in the game you can play with the sensitivity of both the wheel inputs and the feedback from it. ![]() For example, while racing use the +/- to switch to the fuel burn option and then use the red wheel with your thumb to dial it down while you’re in a twisty part of the track. and a wheel to then cycle through the options. I tried and it doesn’t work! You also get some +/- buttons that can be used to cycle through the driving options – traction control, brake balance, fuel burn, timing etc. The PS4 is clever enough to know the difference so you can’t use the wheel to operate the scapes mode in GTSport or play a beat ’em up. Instead of the sticks you’ve got the wheel and the pedals replace the R1/L1 buttons. It’s got all of the buttons that the standard controller has with the exception of the analog sticks and R1/L1. The wheel is nice and comfortable to use. It’s pretty substantial! It attaches to the tray on the seat with a couple of large screw clamps that haven’t moved since I attached it. When unboxing the wheel I was immediately impressed by the weight of it. It takes about a minute to set it up and put away. When it’s not in use it folds up nicely with the wheels and pedals still attached and lives behind the door so it’s hidden from view. For me, I have it fairly low like I imagine a GT3 car to be but I’m a long way from an F1 style seating position. You can’t move the wheel position up or down, instead you have to adjust the seat position to make it comfortable. This slides in and out so you can adjust it to suit your legs. There’s a metal tray that the wheel attaches to and another tray that the pedals sit on. The only thing that needs adjusting each time is the pedal position. ![]() It always goes back to the same position too which is pretty cool. It folds up well and takes a couple of minutes to set up again. Initially I didn’t think the velcro fastening would hold in place but after sitting in it for over and hour on several occasions it’s not moved at all. It took about 10 minutes to put it together and probably 5 or 6 decent length sessions before I got comfortable in it. It’s made of a sturdy metal with well engineered joints. The seat was the first item to arrive – in a massive cardboard box that my wife was none to happy about having to move. I knew I’d need a seat to mount it on too and had a good look around the PlaySeat website before deciding on the Challenge as it could be easily folded up. Like every other Karter and amateur driver at the time I started to look around and see what was available and in stock. With a controller I just couldn’t get the control I wanted. I was still using it after the first two rounds of the championship we started at Monza and Suzuka.Īfter the Suzuka round I realised that if I wanted to improve I’d need to invest in a wheel and pedals. I used this for the first few races we organised – a Mazda race at Brands Hatch and a Porsche race at Interlagos. In the absence of being able to go Karting I started playing Gran Turismo with some Karting friends, still with the controller. I’d always been using the standard PS4 controller and while I was a long way from being quick I was a C ranked driver with a few online wins under my belt and more importantly I was having fun with it a few times a week. I’d been playing Gran Turismo since it was first released back in 2017. ![]()

Once the place is clean of anybody that may cause a threat the hood, head back to Grove Street with Ryder. The house is occupied by ballas, dealers and hookers. You'll be able to start off at the final checkpoint on Hard, saving you a full Hard playthrough. Then load up the game again and change the difficulty to Hard. Right before your save files start deleting, immediately quit to the XMB to avoid your save files from being deleted. Once you earn every other trophy but Carver Style, you will want to start a new game. It's VERY important to not start a new game without reading SnowVixen's difficulty exploit beforehand, or else you WILL have to play another playthrough. Pressing either of them will void the trophy, even if you didn't die. You cannot press "Restart" or "Load" checkpoint. Also bear in mind that not every level has a story related trophy, so do not panic if you don't earn a trophy after completing a certain level. There is no need to stress over any other trophies in this step as you'll be earning those missed trophies during step 2. The reason that you want to play on Easy is to make some of the miscellaneous trophies easier to earn, like not dying in a level. ![]() ![]() During this step, you'll aim to complete the story on the easiest difficulty. ![]() ![]() You make a mental note to “book vacation in Cancun”. Quote from: rea5245 on October 06, 2014, 09:47:28 pm I was all set to write a review of MultiSIM BLUE for my website, /cad, but as I was installing, I actually read the license agreement (!!) and: Even after uninstalling, I don't fully trust that there's still not something left on my system, so I might recommend doing an OS rollback to a previous date should you decide to delete it from your system just to be on the safe side. There are also a number of exe files running in the background whether Blue is loaded or not that I had to manually terminate. They collect tons of personally identifiable information, system configurations, to IP addresses, to browsing habits, to components you're using in your design etc. I'll give you that if you're using a free version you don't want import or export with other vendor's software but to lock users out of their own paid software is just stupid! The final nail in the coffin is that NI and Mouser seem to be doing a hell of a lot of data mining with this software. So they're telling me I have to rebuild all these project in Blue even if it was originally generated with their own software? OH HELL NO! This pissed me the hell off right out of the gate and everything went downhill from there. I've been using NI software for years and have quite a few projects going back to MultiSim v10. With smd parts being off by a whisker and TH components with annular rings in the 5 thou range you're going to have to make changes and being locked out of the database is madness! You can't import any files not created with EDA packages other than Blue and this includes other versions of MultiSim, so what's created in Blue stays in Blue. Also their footprints have notoriously always been somewhat jacked up as well. ![]() I don't like NI's naming conventions so I adjust things to the way I like to do them. I never ever rely on their master db, and always create my own user database. This probably has as much to do with tracking your BOM and other database info as much as anything else. So if I missed a pull up resistor or make some sort of on the fly change to the design I have to recreate the whole project? Sure, I guess you could always go in and manually update the netlist but come on, really?!!! WTF were they thinking?! Next, unless I'm missing something, it doesn't seem to give you the ability to maintain the database. OUCH! Of all the things to cripple in a piece of EDA software this should not be one of them. First off there's no back or forward annotation between schematic and layout. It seems to be crippled in some very nasty ways that make this a deal breaker. I had it on my system for less than a day before I deleted it. I'm not sure whether to allow a one year time limit. When I made those rules, I was thinking of 30 and 90 day time limits. As for my review on PCBShopper: my criteria for my list of CAD programs there has been that the software be free (zero cost) and not time limited. I was looking forward to using a professionally maintained, uncrippled PCB CAD package. On the other hand, it's not The CAD Program For The Rest Of Your Life. On the one hand, this is a lot better than a 30 day evaluation period. Undoubtedly, NI has imposed these terms and perhaps, if Mouser makes enough money from people ordering parts through MultiSIM BLUE, those license terms will be extended. So PCB layout will stop working a year after you start using MultiSIM BLUE and the rest of the package will stop working in 2017. THE SOFTWARE MAY CONTAIN CODE THAT WILL, AFTER JULY 1, 2017, DEACTIVATE THE SOFTWARE AND RENDER THE SOFTWARE UNUSABLE.
